Corporate Sponsor Program FAQ

  • General
  • 1) What is the Corporate Sponsor Program?
It is a structured way for businesses to provide financial or in-kind support to strengthen local fire and EMS services. Sponsors receive documented impact reporting and public recognition (as appropriate).
  • 2) Who receives the sponsorship funds?
Sponsorships are received and administered by the Patronato (support foundation/board) to fund prioritized operational and capital needs that directly strengthen emergency response.
  • 3) What do corporate sponsorships fund?
Typical uses include: PPE, medical supplies, fuel, apparatus maintenance, radios, training, station readiness, and community risk-reduction programs.
  • 4) Is this a donation or a marketing sponsorship?
It can be either. Some companies prefer a philanthropic donation; others prefer a sponsorship with recognition benefits. We can structure it according to your compliance needs and local fiscal requirements.
  • Sponsorship Options
  • 5) What sponsorship levels are available?
Levels are usually offered as tiered annual sponsorships (e.g., Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum) plus custom options for specific projects (PPE set, AED, fuel fund, training fund, etc.).
  • 6) Can we sponsor a specific item (example: one PPE set)?
Yes. You may sponsor a defined item or program. We will provide a written scope and confirmation of completion (photos and documentation when appropriate).
  • 7) Can we donate equipment or services instead of cash?
Yes. In-kind contributions are welcome (equipment, materials, professional services). All in-kind donations must meet minimum specifications and acceptance criteria for safety and operational compatibility.
  • 8) Can we sponsor an event?
Yes. Event sponsorships are available for anniversary events, public safety campaigns, fundraising dinners, raffles, or community outreach activities, with defined recognition benefits.
  • Payment, Documentation, and Tax Matters
  • 9) How do we pay?
Common methods include bank transfer, deposit, check, or approved electronic payments. We provide a written confirmation and official documentation of receipt.
  • 10) Do you provide an official receipt or fiscal document?
We provide formal receipts for all sponsorships. If a fiscal invoice/CFDI or deductible-donation documentation is applicable, we will provide it according to the organization’s legal and tax status and current regulations
  • 11) Does VAT (IVA) apply?
This depends on how the sponsorship is structured (donation vs. advertising/marketing benefit) and the fiscal requirements. We will provide the correct documentation and clarify whether IVA applies before payment.
  • 12) Can sponsorship be paid monthly or quarterly?
Yes. Many sponsors prefer installment plans, especially for higher tiers or equipment sponsorships
  • Recognition and Branding
  • 13) What recognition do sponsors receive?
Depending on tier, recognition may include: logo placement on sponsor boards, website, social media acknowledgments, event banners, annual report recognition, and community campaign materials.
  • 14) Can our logo be placed on vehicles or uniforms?
Vehicle and uniform branding is possible but must comply with safety, visibility, and operational rules. Placement, size, and duration are subject to approval.
  • 15) Can we remain anonymous?
Yes. Sponsors may request anonymity; we will still provide full documentation and impact reporting privately.
  • 16) Do you provide photos or media for our internal communications?
This depends on how the sponsorship is structured (donation vs. advertising/marketing benefit) and the fiscal requirements. We will provide the correct documentation and clarify whether IVA applies before payment.
  • Transparency, Governance, and Accountability
  • 17) How do we know funds are used properly?
We provide transparency measures such as: written sponsorship agreements (when requested), itemized budgets for projects, proof of purchase for sponsored items, periodic impact reporting, and annual summaries.
  • 18) Who decides how sponsorship funds are spent?
Spending follows a documented process: operational needs are identified, reviewed, and prioritized; the Patronato provides oversight; and purchases follow procurement and conflict-of-interest rules.
  • 19) Do you have a conflict-of-interest policy?
Yes. Directors and decision-makers must disclose conflicts and recuse themselves as required. Procurement follows ethical standards to protect sponsor confidence and public trust.
  • 20) What impact metrics do you report?
Common metrics include: number of responses, training hours completed, equipment purchased and placed in service, readiness improvements, and community risk-reduction outcomes.
  • Employee Engagement and Corporate Participation
  • 21) Can our employees volunteer or participate in activities?
This depends on how the sponsorship is structured (donation vs. advertising/marketing benefit) and the fiscal requirements. We will provide the correct documentation and clarify whether IVA applies before payment.

Yes. Options may include station visits, community campaigns, fundraising events, first aid awareness, or approved non-operational support activities.

Yes. You may upgrade at any time. Downgrades are typically applied at renewal, unless otherwise agreed.

If a specified item becomes unavailable or priorities shift (example: urgent repairs after a major incident), we will propose an equivalent alternative and document the change in writing.
  • 26) Who is our point of contact?
Each sponsor is assigned a single liaison for coordination, documents, recognition approvals, and reporting.
